Active participation in the Alumni Association of Rush Medical College creates ample opportunity for career networking and social engagement with fellow Rush-trained physicians. We offer several volunteer opportunities within the alumni association. Your assistance is always needed and welcome.
- Class Agents: While our class agents are usually elected by their class while they are students, we occasionally have an open spot to fill. A class agent serves as a key liaison between his or her class and the Office of Alumni Relations; assists with planning alumni programs and reunions; helps locate lost classmates; and assists with class communications, including signing occasional informational and fundraising letters to classmates.
- Executive Council: The Executive Council is made up of five officers and at least 10 councilors each serving a two-year term. Officers and councilors of the Executive Council are nominated by a committee consisting of four alumni appointed by the president of the association and subject to confirmation by the Executive Council at its annual meeting.
- Committees: Alumni volunteers are always needed and welcome to serve on any of our four Alumni Association committees — reunion and events, student involvement, communications, and fundraising.
- HOST: The HOST (Helping Our Students Travel) Program provides assistance to current Rush Medical College M4s during the students’ residency interviews. RMC alumni volunteer to provide Rush M4s with overnight accommodations, assist with students’ travel or provide insight into specific residency programs.
